Disco Freestyle changes as the style of Popular music develops, and has definitely changed since its ‘birth’ in the 1970’s. You will be taught to a range of Popular music in a range of tempos. Slow work, Street/Medium and Fast dances are taught. There is more emphasis on the lines of the arms and legs, kicks, runs, jumps and big arm movements than Street Dance. A range of routines are taught which vary in difficulty and all classes are taught easy-hard dances so beginners and advanced dancers are welcome. The slow work can include floor work, balances and emphasised poses. Medium work can be more Street style or just danced to a medium speed song. Fast work is often danced to faster, more clubby songs with arms being straight, legs straight when kicked and all moves completed fully even though you are dancing them at a quicker speed. This is a fun style of dance that is extremely rewarding and an excellent form of exercise.
